One of the earliest waterfront projects inaugurated in 2010, this one is perhaps the largest lake beautification project of Mumbai. With the evolution of newer infrastructure along the Powai-lake, accumulation of debris, poor accessibility to the waterfront and degradation of existing environment led to transformation of the space into a scenic public park. Utilizing existing debris for creation of amphitheatre, mounds supporting existing trees, use of semi permeable surfaces, indigenous plant species, resulted in a nature park infused with biodiversity and a haven for water birds. A water facing promenade, water fountain, a reflexology pathway and a children play area generated ambient environment for seamless human interaction with nature.
