The project is part of the Area Based Development Plan and comprises of rejuvenation of the river bank of the Godavari River in the Panchvati area,a religious & heritage Precinct adorned with several temples, Kunds, and the sacred place where the kumbhmela takes place. It comprises of perhaps Maharashtra’s larges mist zone and is perhaps the only project in the country or in the world which remains submerged for 15 days every year which itself is the biggest challenge in its Conservation & Ecorestoration. The design synchronises all the different zones but retains their distinctive features which can add to the curiosity and increase the interest of the visitors. Increase in water volume, use of Gabions, permeable surfaces, rain water harvesting, Water resistant lighting are a few measures taken to reduce the impact of floods and scouring of the banks. Use of geotextiles, vetiver grass and other bio design aspects will make this project one of its kind in sustainable river projects.

AMRUTVANS ( Greenspace development under the AMRUT Mission)-2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18
Client-Urban Development Department & ULBs.
Reporting to Municipal Commmissioners & Principal Secretary (UD1)
The AMRUT Scheme to develop greenspaces was carried out in 10 cities viz NaviMumbai, Thane, Pune, Kalyan, Ambernath, Ulhasnagar, Jalgaon, Nanded, Shirdi and Panvel. Assessment of available spaces on basis of the demographics, soil condition, topography and existing vegetation led to design of different concepts for urban forests. The Healing Tree Groves (Medicinal Plants), Amrutvans(Fruit & Nectar producing plants), Saptarangi Udyan, Nakshatra Udyans, Sugandhi Udyans(Fragrant plants), Restoration & rejuvenation of Nala Banks, Sanskriti Udyans(Heritage trees and those mentioned in our Vedas), Nisargayog etc were few of the developed urban greens. Design, detailing, monitoring the plantation and helping in the audit were a few of the responsibilities. Thus an attempt was made to develop green spaces with different characters and flavors like oxygen parks
Client: Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation,Total Area: 217 acres/ Phase 1- 17.5 acres.
Reporting to Chief Minister, Hon. Mehbooba Mufti, Environment Minister, Tassaduq Mufti and Pradeep Singh, IAS, Advisor to Chief Minister and chairman of APEX Committee for Development projects in Jammu & Kashmir appointed by Central Govt.
The project attempts to act as a catalyst for community development and revival of Tourism. The entire land is submerged intermittently due to snow meltdown and high ground water level. The biggest challenge was to treat this water, channelize it, use it aesthetically in landscape and create a user-friendly park. The flora and fauna too were from temperate zone and effective and efficient use of plant species to create the natural ambience needed research & expertise. Conserving and making an optimum use of natural resources along with a combination of historical importance was the main highlight of the park. The main Design Objectives were Recreation, Accessibility, Environmental & Cultural Conservation & Enhancement, Education, Policy Development, Safety, Tourism, Efficiency through Partnerships & Self Sustainability.
Client: Mumbai Port Trust
The design attempted to create an Ecological & Cultural park on the theme of Mangrove park at Sewri. It comprised of the rejuvenation of the Sewri Fort environment, Preserving the Mangroves, creating an educational resource through mangroves museum, displaying flora & Fauna of salty marshes along with entertainment & recreation. It also envisioned creation of Mangrove Board walk, aqua farms and was perceived as a Seahorse when seen on Plan. The project could not roll due to the ongoing Trans-harbour Link as the said area is currently utilised for the construction process.
Client : ISKCON
The Project included development of 12 acres of a school campus developed on the concept of a school which is surrounded by a village forest with a perfect balance of five elements in the space – Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. As a general design principle, use of satvik materials, satvik design forms and colours to create positive spiritual vibrations were proposed. The design was developed on the 12 Vanas (Forests) concept (Mahavan, Kamyavan, Madhuvan, Talvana, Kumudvan, Bhandirvan, Vrindavan, Khadirvan, Lohvan, Bhadravan, Bahulavan, Belvan), Vanshalas in form of open gazebos amongst indigenous tree plantations, natural swimming pools and other elements were incorporated.

This newly revitalized park is a centre of the sweeping urban renaissance, which engages children in informal, experiential learning through play and educates them about Road Safety by replicating a city Chowk with school, fire brigade, hospital, traffic signals, etc. The design includes creation of an encyclopaedia of plants and fostering applied horticulture to taxonomical botany in the Urban Forest that will be make learning more receptive and more interesting. The landscape restoration plan aimed at improving native vegetation and biodiversity. The entire land was a hillock devoid of any good vegetation. Big rocks, small stone partition walls with dried rank vegetation dotted the landscape. The microclimate was quite hot and humid. This gave rise to us trying to create a temperature drop by allocation of trees and water bodies that will help in heat mitigation, reduce heat island effect and create a pleasant environment.
Client- Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.
Mumbai as such doesn’t have a planned botanical garden wherein we can showcase the various taxonomical classes of flora. An attempt was made to blend applied botany and Horticulture in the design to create an encyclopaedia of plants in a network of active and passive recreation areas and edutainment space for all ages. An entomology museum, a cactus house, bonsai house, palmateum, greenhouses, workshop zones were a few highlights. The project couldn’t take off due to a legal stay order on the proposed land.
